1. SYMPTOMS, CAUSES AND RESULTS
This otorhinolaryngological syndrome is one of the most frequent diseases, especially in childhood.
- Inflammation of the throat
- Ear inflammation
These occur together very often.
In summer it can be brought about by exposure to draught, excessive use of air conditioner (when travelling or at home), cold ice cream or drinks, or water remaining in the ears after swimming, while in winter it is generally caused by the “usual” epidemics and infections.
The most frequent symptoms are the following:
- Blocked nose
- Running nose
- Sore throat
- Ear pain
If children get sick before or during holidays, it can spoil the fun for the whole family. It is or is not accompanied by fever, but severe pain is typical.
2. CONVENTIONAL THERAPY
Non-steroidal painkillers, antipyretics and anti-inflammatory drugs: These prescription or over-the-counter drugs can be taken regularly or intermittently. These are the medications mostly preferred by physicians. They burden the stomach (e.g. nausea, vomiting) and the liver (e.g. abnormal liver function values) seriously, but the patient information leaflet also mentions headache or dizziness as possible side effects.
Antibiotics: These are also prescribed by physicians very often. Unfortunately, it is a routine to use stronger and stronger antibiotics. These can also associate with undesirable side effects.
Nasal spray: it is used especially for children to treat blocked nose and to restore breathing.
3. HOW CAN SAFE LASER HELP?
Laser therapy performed with Safe Laser, developed as a result of a 40-year-long medical laser research, has pain relieving, anti-inflammatory and biostimulating effects on the irradiated area.
In case of ear or throat inflammation, it reduces the inflammatory process as well as the associated pain.
It contracts the mucous membranes, thereby reducing the feeling of tension caused by the swelling of inflamed tissues and improving breathing.
It also helps to regenerate the inflamed tissues.
Safe Laser 150 device – the restrictor or the even more effective fiber optic should be used for the nose (the area of the throat and pharynx can be reached exclusively with the fiber optic, but this is the most effective way to treat ear inflammation as well).
My ear was operated on 15 years ago. Since that time I have had continuous ear inflammation issues. I used to visit the doctor 2 or 3 times per month due to the intolerable pain. Then 1 year ago I started to use the Safe Laser device. Since then I have been irradiating daily both ear canals for 5 minutes. I have had no complaints ever since.
